EasyRM Document Manager 1.06 Release February 2002

The EasyRM Document Manager is the user-level EasyRM component, which targets the creation and maintenance of project-specific libraries of reference documentation.

The EasyRM Document Manager provides users with the following facilities:

• Creation, description and modification of project-related documents.
• Registration of external documents in the document libraries, including documents available on the Internet or even documents not available in an electtronic form at all.
• Specification of relationships between documents.
• Maintetance of semantic links from documents to glossary terms/phrases and/or requirements which make use of (refer to) these documents (You need to have EasyRM Glossary and/or EasyRM Requirement Manager installed as well as EasyRM Document Manager in order to be able to use this functionality).
• Maintetance of traceability links from documents to glossary terms/phrases and/or requirements based on these documents information sources where these requirements have originated. (You need to have EasyRM Glossary and/or EasyRM Requirement Manager installed as well as EasyRM Document Manager in order to be able to use this functionality).

Demo vs. Full operation mode

The EasyRM Document Manager operates in Demo mode until you acquire and enter a valid license key for it. In this mode, the EasyRM Document Manager does not allow you to create more than 10 documents in any model.

To acquire and enter a valid license key for the EasyRM Document Manager:

1. Visit the Shop section of this web site to purchase a license key for the EasyRM Document Manager 1.06. If you want to use the EasyRM Document Manager on more than one computer, you will need to purchase a corresponding number of license keys for it.
2. Start the EasyRM License Manager. If necessary, you may need to download and install the EasyRM License Manager first.
3. Use the EasyRM License Manager to enter your CustomerID (you will be issued one automatically) and the EasyRM Document Manager 1.06 license key.

After having completed the procedure specified above, the EasyRM Document Manager will switch to the Full mode, in which its full functionality is available.

IMPORTANT: If you have purchased and installed a valid license key for the EasyRM Document Manager but have not purchased and installed a valid license key for the EasyRM Repository, then you will still not be able to create more than 10 documents per model - although the EasyRM Document Manager will allow you to do so, the EasyRM Repository, which operates in Demo mode without a proper license key, will then impose the limit.
