EasyRM ASCII Text Editor 1.06 Release February 2002

The EasyRM ASCII Text Editor is a user-level component which allows documents containing plain ASCII text to be stored directly in the EasyRM databases. The EasyRM ASCII Text Editor is best suited for placing short notes into requirements databases. You can associate these notes with glossary terms and/or requirements they relate to.

Other possible uses for ASCII Text Editor are:

• Using ASCII Text documents to emulate discussion boards for various model elements.
• Collection and storage of ad-hoc requirements, particularly during brainstorming sessions.
• Commenting the requirements models.

Demo vs. Full operation mode

The EasyRM ASCII Text Editor operates in Demo mode until you acquire and enter a valid license key for it. In this mode, the EasyRM ASCII Text Editor does not allow you to create text documents which contain more than 512 characters.

To acquire and enter a valid license key for the EasyRM ASCII Text Editor:

1. Visit the Shop section of this web site to purchase a license key for the EasyRM ASCII Text Editor 1.06. If you want to use the EasyRM ASCII Text Editor on more than one computer, you will need to purchase a corresponding number of license keys for it.
2. Start the EasyRM License Manager. If necessary, you may need to download and install the EasyRM License Manager first.
3. Use the EasyRM License Manager to enter your CustomerID (you will be issued one automatically) and the EasyRM ASCII Text Editor 1.06 license key.

After having completed the procedure specified above, the EasyRM ASCII Text Editor will switch to the Full mode, in which its full functionality is available.
