EasyRM CSV Import Filter 1.06 Release February 2002

The EasyRM CSV Import Filter is a user-level EasyRM component which allows importing glossary terms and requirements from comma-separated text files. These files can be produces by a variety of third-party applications, including MS Access and MS Excel.

The EasyRM CSV Import Filter offers the following features to the customer:

• Selective import of comma-separated textual data, where a user can specify what data elements shall be imported and how they should be interpreted.
• If an imported data contains information about associations between imported glossary terms and requirements, the CSV Import Filter can create corresponding associations in EasyRM automatically.
• An imported data with a hierarchical structure can be imported as a hierarchy of glossary terms and requirements if necessary.
• Imported glossary terms and requirements can be automatically classified if the appropriate information is available.
• Import format management allows you to save frequently used import formats for future use.

Demo vs. Full operation mode

The EasyRM CSV Import Filter operates in Demo mode until you acquire and enter a valid license key for it. In this mode, you cannot import more than 10 model elements (i.e. glossary terms or requirements) at a time.

To acquire and enter a valid license key for the EasyRM CSV Import Filter:

1. Visit the Shop section of this web site to purchase a license key for the EasyRM CSV Import Filter 1.06. If you want to use the EasyRM CSV Import Filter on more than one computer, you will need to purchase a corresponding number of license keys for it.
2. Start the EasyRM License Manager. If necessary, you may need to download and install the EasyRM License Manager first.
3. Use the EasyRM License Manager to enter your CustomerID (you will be issued one automatically) and the EasyRM CSV Import Filter 1.06 license key.

After having completed the procedure specified above, the EasyRM CSV Import Filter will switch to the Full mode, in which its full functionality is available.
