EasyRM Requirement Manager 1.06 Release February 2002

The EasyRM Requirement Manager is the user-level EasyRM component, which targets the creation and maintenance of sets of project requirements.

The EasyRM Requirement Manager provides users with the following facilities:

• Creation, description, modification and progress tracking of project requirements.
• Classification of requirements, including the ability to have several independent classifications of the same requirement set.
• Specification of relationships between requirements, including requirement decompositions, dependencies, correlations, conflicts, etc.
• Maintenance of semantic links from requirements to glossary terms and phrases used in requirement specifications. (You need to have EasyRM Glossary installed as well as EasyRM Requirement Manager in order to be able to use this functionality).
• Maintetance of traceability links from requirements to information sources where these requirements have originated. (You need to have EasyRM Document Manager installed as well as EasyRM Requirement Manager in order to be able to use this functionality).

Demo vs. Full operation mode

The EasyRM Requirement Manager operates in Demo mode until you acquire and enter a valid license key for it. In this mode, the EasyRM Requirement Manager does not allow you to create more than 10 requirements or requirement classifiers in any model.

To acquire and enter a valid license key for the EasyRM Requirement Manager:

1. Visit the Shop section of this web site to purchase a license key for the EasyRM Requirement Manager 1.06. If you want to use the EasyRM Requirement Manager on more than one computer, you will need to purchase a corresponding number of license keys for it.
2. Start the EasyRM License Manager. If necessary, you may need to download and install the EasyRM License Manager first.
3. Use the EasyRM License Manager to enter your CustomerID (you will be issued one automatically) and the EasyRM Requirement Manager 1.06 license key.

After having completed the procedure specified above, the EasyRM Requirement Manager will switch to the Full mode, in which its full functionality is available.

IMPORTANT: If you have purchased and installed a valid license key for the EasyRM Requirement Manager but have not purchased and installed a valid license key for the EasyRM Repository, then you will still not be able to create more than 10 requirements or requirement classifiers per model - although the EasyRM Requirement Manager will allow you to do so, the EasyRM Repository, which operates in Demo mode without a proper license key, will then impose the limit.
